In accordance with the directive and schedule set by the Election Commission of India, the draft photo voter list for Tripura’s 60 Assembly constituencies, with January 1, 2025, as the base year, was published today (Tuesday, October 29, 2024). As per the draft, the state has a total of 28,64,475 voters, including 14,25,915 female voters and 14,38,491 male voters, with 69 voters identified as third gender. The list also includes 11,071 service voters, of which 205 are women and 10,866 are men.
The State Election Department has announced that claims and objections to the draft voter list may be submitted between October 29, 2024 (Tuesday) and November 28, 2024 (Thursday). Special campaign days for addressing claims and objections are scheduled for November 9 (Saturday), November 10 (Sunday), November 16 (Saturday), and November 17 (Sunday), 2024. The final date for resolving claims and objections is December 24, 2024 (Tuesday), with the final voter list to be published on January 6, 2025 (Monday).
Copies of the draft voter list are available for inspection at all designated locations, including 3,352 polling stations, Tehsil offices, the offices of Electoral Registration Officers (Sub-Divisional Magistrates), and District Election Offices (DM offices). Additionally, the draft voter list is accessible online on the website of the Chief Electoral Officer of Tripura at www.ceotripura.nic.in.
