Agartala 23 Oct, 2024: “NCC is not just a place for parades or an educational institution; it is a broader platform for understanding Indian philosophy, culture, history, music, and civilization,” said Governor Indrasena Reddy Nannu during the inauguration of the 3-day NCC Northeast Biannual Group Commanders’ Biannual Conference-2024 held today at 21 Sector Assam Rifles, Agartala. The event took place at the Assam Rifles’ conference hall, where the Governor interacted with Assam Rifles’ ADG Major General Gagandeep and other group commanders. The ADG provided a detailed PowerPoint presentation on the future plans for NCC in Tripura and the Northeast region.
On this occasion, NCC members from various colleges performed a cultural program. Governor Indrasena Reddy Nannu encouraged the cadets to pursue their dreams and praised the ADG and other NCC officials for their dedicated training programs.In his welcome speech, the Additional Director General of NCC, Gagandeep, mentioned that Tripura currently has 5,300 NCC cadets across 95 schools and colleges, including 2,500 girl cadets. Biannual Group commanders from various northeastern states attended the conference. This information was shared by the Raj Bhavan today.
