Agartala 26-03-23: There was shortage of blood in different blood banks of the state but once Chief Minister Professor Dr Manik Saha appealed for blood donation, large number of blood donation camps started to take place in the state.

“There is no alternative to blood donation as it is the only thing which can save the life of a patient. There are other things like liver, Kidney, Clothes, Education which can be donated but it cannot be compared with blood” as said by the Chief Minister Professor Dr Manik Saha after inaugurating various blood donation camps on Sunday.

The first blood donation camp was organised by Belonia togetherness at TRTC complex of Krishnanagar and it was inaugurated by Chief Minister Professor Dr Manik Saha. The AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder, TRTC Chairman Abhijit Deb and few others were present as well. Dr Manik Saha urged more people to donate blood.He added that blood does not have any religion, caste or creed hence donating blood is a great work.

The next blood donation camp took place at IMA house and it was organised by Rotaract Club of Agartala Central and Indian Medical Association, Tripura Chapter. This one was also inaugurated by Chief Minister Professor Dr Manik Saha. The Secretary of RamaKrishna Mission Swami Subhakarananda Maharaj and members of the organising committee were also present in the programme. Dr Manik Saha said that there was scarcity of blood earlier but now the situation has changed as more people are coming forward to donate blood. He also said human beings are creation of God and blood plays an important role in the body of a human being. He also urged everyone to come forward to form drug free Tripura.

Lions Club Agartala also organised a blood donation camp and it was attended by Chief Minister Professor Dr Manik Saha where AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder and few others were present. He said that blood donation can be done after every 3 months if a person does not have any health issue. It is blood donation which can save the life of large number of people. Hence he lauded all the voluntary blood donors and blood donation organisations.

After the blood donation camps he went to Netaji School and attended the “Maan Ki baat ” programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The state president of BJP Rajib Bhattacharjee, AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder and many others attended the programme. Thereafter another blood donation camp organised by 8 – Town Bordowali Mandal was inaugurated by Chief Minister Professor Dr Manik Saha. State President Rajib Bhattacharjee, MLA Sapna Das Pal and few others were present in this camp.

Dr Manik Saha talked about the importance of blood donation. He also said that some allegation are coming up that Subscription culture which was seen earlier has started again hence he added that the people who are associated with this culture will not be spared by the party and state government. BJP speaks what is inside the human heart and there is no reason why the party will think about anything else while incidence of aberrance is not good. People must not affected with what other parties say while BJP always stands with the common people and karyakartas also need to play a huge role so that people keep trust on the party.

There was another blood donation camp which took place in the house of MLA Surajit Datta and it was also attended by CM Professor Dr Manik Saha and it was organised by 7 Ramnagar Mandal. MLA Surajit Datta and few others were present in this camp. All the blood donation camp saw large number of donors and it was an example of Social responsibility.
