By gaining 32 seats and one seat, respectively, the incumbent BJP and its ally the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) regained control of the northeastern state for a second consecutive term.
“I have presented my resignation letter to the Governor,” Saha said in a statement to reporters after leaving the Raj Bhavan. They requested that I continue until a new government is established.
