Tokyo, July 08: Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has passed away. He was shot dead during the election campaign in Nara area on Friday. Neither the ruling Liberal Democratic Party nor the police have said who shot Shinzo Abe from behind. However, the ruling LDP told GG News that there was a lot of bleeding from Abe’s neck. He was shot dead during an election campaign rally in the Nara region of the country.
Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was reportedly shot while addressing a rally ahead of Sunday’s by-elections. There, at the sound of gunfire, 8-year-old Abbey collapsed and was seen bleeding from his neck. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shinzo Abe has been Japan’s longest-serving prime minister. He first took charge of the country in 2006 for one year. He later served as the Prime Minister of Japan from 2012 to 2020.
