Tripura 4 Feb, 2025: A tragic bike accident on the night of Saraswati Puja claimed the life of one youth and left another seriously injured. The incident occurred on Monday night at Shanitala on the main Mohanpur road.
According to police reports, the two youths were in an intoxicated state when the accident took place. Riding a TR01AW4979-registered bike at high speed towards Agartala, Sagar Sarkar and Rahul Sarkar lost control and crashed into a concrete pillar of a school boundary.
Both youths were severely injured and left bleeding on the road. Locals and personnel from the Mohanpur Fire Station rushed to their aid and transported them to Mohanpur Hospital. However, Sagar Sarkar succumbed to his injuries on the way due to severe head trauma. Rahul Sarkar is currently undergoing treatment at GBP Hospital in Agartala.
Upon receiving the news, a police team from Sidhai Police Station arrived at the accident site to investigate the incident.
