Bhopal 7 Jan, 2025: Yesterday, In a historic achievement, Tripura secured its first-ever top position in the National Art Festival held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, organized by the Regional Education Institute. Among the six competition categories, students from Tripura won accolades in three.
Nabaroop Bhattacharya, a 9th-grade student of Shri Shri Ravishankar Vidyamandir, secured the first prize in the dance category. In the theatre category, Drisha Lodh, an 11th-grade student of Melaghar English Medium Higher Secondary School, bagged second place. Additionally, Manojit Debnath, a student of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar English Model School, won second prize in instrumental music.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha extended his congratulations, stating, “I heartily congratulate all the participants and winners of this year’s National Art Festival. Securing awards in three categories is a proud moment for our state. These talented students have not only showcased their artistic excellence but have also highlighted the quality education being imparted in Tripura. I wish all the participants from Tripura a bright and successful future.”
