Sonamura, October 24: In preparation for the upcoming election, a special bicycle rally will be held in Sonamura on October 29 to raise awareness among voters and encourage their active participation. Organized under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program, this rally will traverse key roads and culminate at the Sonamura Town Hall grounds.
Following the rally, an awareness seminar will be held at the Town Hall, where vital information on the importance of voting and electoral awareness will be shared. A preparatory meeting was held yesterday at the office of the Sonamura Sub-Divisional Magistrate to ensure the success of the program. The meeting was presided over by SDM M.K. Chakma.
M.K. Chakma highlighted that initiatives like this are essential to increase voter awareness and encourage them to exercise their voting rights.
