Agartala 16 August, 2024: Dr Bivash Kanti Kilikdar took oath as the new Lokayukta of the state on Friday. Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu administered the oath to him in a ceremony held at the Durbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Chief Secretary JK Sinha, State Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan and many other senior officials were present at the oath taking ceremony. Family members of the newly appointed Lokayukta were also present on the occasion, adding to the significance of the occasion.
Dr. Kilikdar is known for justice and integrity in his professional life. In his new role, he is expected to work towards increasing transparency and accountability in the administrative activities of the state.
Dr. Kilikdar’s appointment has been welcomed across the board and his tenure is expected to reinforce the values of fairness and rectitude in the administrative structure of the state.
