Agartala 14 August, 2024: In a significant operation based on a tip-off, the East Agartala Police recently arrested five individuals from the Chandrapur area of Agartala and seized 14 kg of cannabis. The arrested individuals, reportedly from Bihar, were apprehended just before they were set to depart for Bihar.
In addition to this, the police also arrested three more individuals involved in other criminal activities. Two were detained for theft, and one was apprehended in connection with an NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) case.
In total, eight suspects were arrested during this operation by the East Agartala Police. Sadar SDPO Debaprasad Roy, who provided details of the operation, emphasized that similar raids would continue in the future to curb criminal activities in the region.
