Agartala, December 13, 2025: The month-long Unity Promo Fest 2025, organized by the Tripura Tourism Department with the objective of promoting tourism across the state, concluded successfully with a closing ceremony held at Astabal Ground or Swami Vivekananda Maidan, Agartala – Yesterday Night.
The closing event was attended by Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, along with senior officials of the Tourism Department and invited guests. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister emphasized that such initiatives help strengthen unity and mutual understanding among the diverse communities of the state. He stated that tourism has immense potential to contribute to Tripura’s overall development and economic growth.
The Unity Promo Fest was organized across various tourist destinations in the state, including Dumboor, Narikel Kunja, Udaipur Matabari, Belonia, Jampui Hills, and Neermahal, showcasing Tripura’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, and traditional art forms. Several cultural performances, music events, and promotional activities were held as part of the festival.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the government is committed to promoting Tripura as an attractive tourist destination at both national and international levels. He highlighted that such festivals play a crucial role in boosting tourism-related livelihoods and generating employment opportunities for local communities.
Tripura Tourism Brand Ambassador and former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly also addressed the audience, noting that Tripura possesses unique tourism potential that deserves wider recognition. He expressed confidence that continued efforts by the state government would place Tripura prominently on the country’s tourism map.
Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury stated that Tripura’s tourism sector is steadily progressing and assured that similar initiatives would be continued in the future to sustain growth. He also highlighted the active participation of local communities in making the festival a success.
As part of the event, representatives from various community organizations participated in a cultural show, reflecting the unity in diversity of the state. The Chief Minister also formally inaugurated the Unity Promo Fest logo during the ceremony.
The successful conclusion of Unity Promo Fest 2025 marks another milestone in Tripura’s ongoing efforts to promote tourism, culture, and social harmony across the state.
