Tripura, 22 August 2025: The Assam Rifles deployed in Tripura is adopting modern drone technology to strengthen the state’s security mechanism. As part of this initiative, a drone show and exhibition were organized today at the Assam Rifles Ground in Agartala.
Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha attended the event as the Chief Guest. Also present were Director General of Police Anurag, Home Department Secretary Abhishek Singh, Chief Minister’s Secretary Dr. P. K. Chakraborty, along with senior officials of the state police and Assam Rifles.
During the demonstration, Assam Rifles personnel showcased various types of drones, explaining how they are used in emergency situations and how the force conducts operations based on drone-assisted strategies. Officers of the Assam Rifles also briefed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries about the unique features and capabilities of different drones on display.
The Chief Minister lauded the initiative and emphasized that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India’s defence sector has become increasingly self-reliant with advanced warfare technology. He highlighted that drone technology has achieved remarkable progress in combat operations and counter-terrorism strategies.
