Tripura, 12 August 2025: Marking the upcoming 79th Independence Day, the 70th Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) organized a vibrant “Tiranga Yatra” bike rally along the Indo-Bangladesh international border in Khowai subdivision on Tuesday morning.
The rally, held under the nationwide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, aimed to instill patriotism and encourage citizens to hoist the national flag at every home. Starting at 9 a.m. from Asharambari BOP, BSF personnel, adorned with the tricolor and playing patriotic songs, traversed the border areas before concluding at Bon Bazaar BOP. Local residents also joined the event, further strengthening civil-military camaraderie.
Speaking to the media, BSF 70 Battalion’s officiating commandant, Jimmy Rangate, highlighted the purpose of the rally: “This is part of our government program under Har Ghar Tiranga to bring the national flag into every home and every hand and to foster a closer bond between BSF and civilians. We want to keep the tricolor alive in our hearts. It is encouraging to see strong public support, and on 15th August, we will be hoisting the tricolor in Barahmu village with our CEO present. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat.”
The event concluded with enthusiastic cheers and applause, setting the tone for the Independence Day celebrations.
