Agartala, July 16, 2025: Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha today emphasized that while politicians make decisions for the state’s and nation’s development, the responsibility of implementing these decisions rests with government employees. In this event, appointment letters were handed over to 184 Junior Engineers (Diploma) from the Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical branches. The Chief Minister, along with other dignitaries, symbolically handed over the letters to selected candidates.

During his speech, Dr. Saha stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have often cited Tripura as an example of development in the Northeast. He said it is a matter of pride for every citizen of the state and credited the people of Tripura for their sincere efforts in enabling this progress.
He noted that while governments recruit staff, departments must ensure that the selected individuals keep pace with technology, embrace innovation, and work with dedication for the welfare of the nation and its people. He urged all employees to act with integrity and contribute positively to their departments’ image.
Dr. Saha also shared that Tripura ranks second after Sikkim in terms of per capita income in the Northeast and that the state’s budget has increased significantly this financial year by several thousand crores. He credited transparency and fairness in governance for this growth.

Also speaking on the occasion, PWD Minister Tinku Roy stated that the government prioritizes merit-based and transparent recruitment, ensuring skilled manpower for development. Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy noted that this year’s budget has allocated significant funds specifically for infrastructure development.
