Imphal, July 15, 2025: In a major breakthrough in the ongoing efforts to restore peace and stability in Manipur, a joint team of Security Forces (SFs), comprising Manipur Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and Army/Assam Rifles, recovered a massive cache of arms, ammunition, and warlike materials during a coordinated operation in the early hours of July 15.
Acting on precise intelligence inputs, multiple simultaneous raids were carried out across suspected hideouts in the valley districts, including Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal, Kakching, and Bishnupur. The operation led to the recovery of 86 weapons, 974 rounds of ammunition, multiple grenades, and several explosive devices.

Officials described the seizures as one of the most significant in recent months and credited close coordination and accurate intelligence for the operation’s success. Senior officers have reiterated that these sustained efforts are part of a broader mission to dismantle networks of illegal arms and re-establish law and order in the violence-hit region.
