Agartala: A controversy has erupted at KFC’s Agartala outlet after customers alleged that they were served stale and foul-smelling fried chicken. The incident came to light when a customer confronted the staff about the quality of the food and asked them to smell it for themselves. Reportedly, the staff admitted that the chicken had a bad odor.The incident occurred on Tuesday evening and has since gone viral on social media, drawing sharp criticism from the public.

The situation escalated when the customer challenged the outlet’s manager, Biplab, saying, “You can eat this in front of me if it’s fresh.” Following this, the manager reportedly went inside and did not return to address the complaint.
Customers further alleged that the outlet frequently mixes old and new chicken and serves it to unsuspecting customers.
The incident quickly went viral on social media, sparking a flood of angry comments and questions about the role of the Food Safety Department. Many netizens have asked, “Where is the food safety department now?” expressing concern over the rising number of such incidents at fast-food outlets.
