Agartala, 25 Sep 2026: Tripura University has invited eligible female candidates to attend a walk-in interview for the contractual post of Matron-cum-Clerk at the university’s PG Girls’ Hostel. The engagement will be purely temporary for an initial period of six months.
According to the university’s official notification, No. F.TU/REG/ADVT-Cont/01/2026/2, issued by the Registrar (i/c), the walk-in interview will be held on October 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Council Hall, Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Prashasanik Bhawan, Tripura University.
There is one vacancy for the post, with a consolidated monthly remuneration of ₹21,000. Applicants must be below 45 years of age and should possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institute or university, along with working knowledge of computer operations. At least two years of relevant work experience will be considered desirable.
The selected candidate will be required to reside within the PG Girls’ Hostel premises. The responsibilities will include supervising the day-to-day functioning of the hostel, maintaining student attendance and entry-exit records, monitoring housekeeping and cleanliness, addressing routine complaints, assisting the Hostel Warden in matters related to student welfare and safety, and handling clerical and administrative record-keeping.
Eligible candidates must report to the interview venue by 10:00 AM on October 6, 2026, for document verification. Candidates are required to bring the prescribed application form, original educational and experience certificates, mark sheets and other relevant documents, along with a complete set of self-attested photocopies. A passport-size photograph must also be affixed to the application form.
The university has stated that no TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview. Candidates who are currently employed elsewhere will have to submit a relieving certificate from their present employer before joining.
