Agartala, September 17: Alleged gaps in regular teaching and basic amenities at Baramura Nareng Jami High School in West Tripura’s Belbari Block have prompted local residents to seek intervention from the education authorities.
The school, under the Inspector of Schools, Belbari, has reportedly been facing several issues that residents believe require immediate attention.
Locals alleged that teachers are not always present during scheduled school hours, claiming that students are sometimes left waiting for classes to begin. They said the reported irregularities have raised concerns about the continuity of academic activities at the institution.
The residents have also highlighted shortcomings in basic infrastructure, particularly arrangements for drinking water. According to them, the lack of adequate water facilities has caused inconvenience to both students and staff.
Seeking action, local residents have urged the education department to examine the complaints and determine the actual situation at the school. They have called on field-level officials to visit the institution and assess teacher attendance, classroom activities and the availability of essential facilities.
The issue has also raised questions among residents about the effectiveness of routine monitoring of schools in the area. They stressed that proper infrastructure and uninterrupted teaching are necessary to ensure that students receive regular academic support.
Residents expressed apprehension that if the reported problems remain unresolved, students could face difficulties in keeping pace with their studies.
They have therefore requested the concerned education officials to conduct an assessment and take corrective measures wherever necessary.
A local villager, speaking to the media, spoke about the difficulties allegedly being faced by students and staff and appealed to the authorities to investigate the matter.
The residents have sought steps to improve basic amenities, particularly drinking-water facilities, and ensure that regular classes are conducted at Baramura Nareng Jami High School.
