Tripura, 13 Sep 2026: An unidentified man’s body was recovered beside a bridge near the BJP district office in the Lalchhara area of Khowai on Sunday morning, causing concern among local residents.
According to local sources, residents spotted the man lying beside the road and informed others. A crowd gathered at the spot soon after the incident came to light.
Police reached the area after being informed and recovered the body. The deceased was reportedly of a nomadic nature and had been seen moving around the area for several days, according to local residents.
The body was sent to the mortuary of Khowai District Hospital for post-mortem examination, police sources said.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been established. The exact circumstances and cause of death also remain unclear.
Police said they are investigating the incident.
