Agartala: In a significant step towards technology-driven urban cleanliness, Tripura-based startup GO GREEN PLUS has achieved a major milestone with the registration of its first-ever design for the innovative ‘VAYU’ Litter Picker by the Patent Office, Government of India.
The achievement comes in line with the vision of the Government of Tripura, under the leadership of Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, towards cleaner cities, improved civic services and sustainable development.

The VAYU Litter Picker has been developed to support Agartala Municipal Corporation and other Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in collecting scattered litter from roads, markets, footpaths, parks and public spaces. The mechanised solution aims to improve cleaning efficiency, help sanitation workers cover larger areas and promote safer and more effective urban sanitation practices.
GO GREEN PLUS, founded by Dr. Bilash Chandra Roy and Mr. Samik Das, and recognised by Startup India and Startup Tripura, is committed to providing innovative, practical and sustainable solutions to government bodies and communities. The startup aims to work closely with the Government and ULBs to understand ground-level challenges and develop solutions suited to local requirements.
“As a Tripura-based startup, we are committed to supporting the vision of our Hon’ble Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha and the Government of Tripura by developing innovative solutions that can make our cities cleaner, smarter and more sustainable.”
The company sees VAYU as the beginning of a larger journey of indigenous innovation from Tripura, with a focus on supporting government agencies in building cleaner and more efficient urban environments.
