Agartala, August 17, 2026: The INTACH Tripura Chapter will commemorate the 118th birth anniversary of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur on August 18 at The Manikya Enclave, Gorkhabasti, Agartala.
The inaugural programme will begin at 3:00 PM and will be attended by Maharani Kriti Devi Debbarma, Member of Parliament from East Tripura, as the Chief Guest. Maharaja Pradyot Bikram Manikya Deb Barma, Head of the Royal Family of Tripura, will be present as the Special Guest.
Prof. Abhay Kumar, Director of IIIT, will attend as the Distinguished Guest, while Prof. (Dr.) Ratan Kumar Saha, Vice Chancellor of Techno India University, Tripura, will be the Guest of Honour. The programme will be convened by Maharajkumari Pragya Deb Burman, Convenor of the INTACH Tripura Chapter.
As part of the commemoration, a special photographic exhibition showcasing photographs associated with Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya and his legacy will also be organised.
The exhibition will remain open from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM on August 18 and from 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM on August 19.
Entry to the exhibition is free and open to all.
