Agartala, August 12: The streets of Agartala witnessed a colourful display of patriotism on Wednesday as the West Tripura District Police organised a bike rally as part of the nationwide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, spreading the message of national unity, pride and civic responsibility.
West Tripura Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak formally flagged off the rally, which saw enthusiastic participation from police officers and personnel across different ranks. The participants carried and displayed the national flag as they rode through key routes of the state capital.
Among those taking part were the Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural West), Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) from different subdivisions, station house officers and other police personnel.
The rally attracted the attention of residents and commuters as the convoy passed through the city with the Tricolour prominently displayed. Through the initiative, the police appealed to citizens to actively participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign by hoisting the national flag at their homes.
Police officials said the programme was aimed not only at celebrating the Tricolour but also at strengthening the spirit of unity and reminding citizens about the values represented by the national flag.
“The Har Ghar Tiranga programme is meant to instil pride and a sense of belonging among citizens. Through this rally, we want to remind people that the flag is a symbol of India’s unity, dignity and sovereignty,” a senior police officer said.
Officials said the initiative also reflected the police force’s commitment to maintaining law and order while remaining closely connected with the people through community-oriented activities.
The rally sought to combine patriotic enthusiasm with a message of discipline, public service and collective responsibility. Police personnel encouraged people along the route to join the nationwide campaign and celebrate the national flag with dignity and respect.
The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign aims to encourage greater public participation in displaying the national flag and deepen citizens’ emotional connection with the Tricolour.
Through Wednesday’s bike rally, the West Tripura District Police joined the campaign with a visible show of national pride, calling upon residents across the state capital to participate and strengthen the spirit of unity and togetherness.
