Agartala, 30th July, 2026: In a landmark initiative aimed at enhancing the financial security and welfare of Government employees, Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Finance Department, Government of Tripura for the implementation of the Bank’s flagship Salary Package Scheme (SPS).
The MoU signing ceremony was held at Conference Hall–III, Civil Secretariat, Agartala, in the august presence of senior dignitaries from the Government of Tripura and Tripura Gramin Bank.

The Finance Department was represented by Dr. Parshant Kumar Goyal, IAS, Secretary, Finance Department, Dr. Akinchan Sarkar, Additional Secretary, Dr. Debamita Kilikdar, Joint Secretary (Finance), Shri Prithwiraj Debnath, Deputy Secretary (Finance – General), Shri Beiseia Darlong, Deputy Secretary (Finance – Budget), Shri Narayan Chandra Majumder, Deputy Secretary (Finance – General), Shri Subrata Kumar Das, Deputy Secretary (Finance – Budget), along with other senior officers and officials of the Finance Department.
Representing Tripura Gramin Bank were Shri Satyendra Singh, Hon’ble Chairman, Shri Anup Kumar Saha, General Manager, officials of the Marketing Division, and other senior executives of the Bank.
The signing of this MoU marks a significant milestone in the long-standing relationship between the Government of Tripura and Tripura Gramin Bank and reflects a shared commitment towards providing enhanced financial protection and value-added banking services to Government employees.
Under the agreement, all Regular and Contractual employees of the Government of Tripura drawing their salary through Tripura Gramin Bank shall be eligible to avail the Bank’s Salary Package Scheme (SPS) completely free of cost. The Scheme has been thoughtfully designed to provide comprehensive banking solutions along with robust financial protection to employees and their families.
One of the most distinguished features of the Salary Package Scheme is its industry-leading Complimentary Personal Accident Insurance Coverage of up to ₹2.50 Crore, making it one of the most comprehensive salary package benefits available in the banking sector.
The insurance benefits include:
* Personal Accident (Death) Cover – Up to ₹1.25 Crore,
* Permanent Total Disability Cover – Up to ₹1.25 Crore
* Permanent Partial Disability Cover – Up to ₹62.50 Lakhs
(Benefits are applicable as per the respective Salary Package category and the approved terms and conditions of the Scheme.)
