Agartala, July 30: A wave of grief swept across Tripura’s political fraternity following the sudden demise of Dinesh Chandra Saha, husband of Teliamura MLA and Chief Whip of the Tripura Legislative Assembly Kalyani Roy Saha. He reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest while asleep early on Wednesday morning.
The untimely demise has drawn condolences from leaders cutting across party lines, with Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha personally visiting the bereaved family to offer his condolences and stand by them during the difficult time.
Speaking to reporters after meeting the family, the Chief Minister expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss. He also shared a heartfelt message on social media, praying for the eternal peace of the departed soul and extending his sympathies to the grieving family.
“I pray to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength and courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss,” the Chief Minister said.
The passing of Dinesh Chandra Saha triggered an outpouring of condolences from ministers, legislators and political leaders across the state.
SC Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das said he was deeply saddened by the news and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul. He also conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and wished them strength to overcome the tragedy.
Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury expressed profound shock over the sudden demise. In his condolence message, he described the incident as a heartbreaking loss and prayed that the family receives the courage to endure the difficult time.
Several senior political leaders, legislators and party workers also expressed their condolences, remembering Dinesh Chandra Saha as a humble and respected individual. Many described the incident as a moment of collective mourning for the state’s political community.
