Agartala, 13 July 2026: Walking Lens 3.0, the annual photography exhibition organized by the Madhurupa Memorial Cancer Welfare Society (MMCWS), concluded successfully on 12 July at the Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan Lobby, Agartala, after attracting an enthusiastic response from photographers, art lovers and the public.
The three-day exhibition featured the works of 25 photographers, showcasing photographs across genres including photojournalism, wildlife, street photography, culture and landscapes. A key highlight of the event was the charity auction of original framed photographs, through which a significant amount has already been raised to support cancer patients.

To continue the fundraising initiative, MMCWS has launched the Walking Lens 3.0 e-Auction, enabling individuals and institutions to purchase original exhibition photographs online through www.mmcws.org . The Society has appealed to hotels, cafés, hospitals, educational institutions, corporate offices and government establishments to support the cause by displaying these photographs in their spaces.
Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary of MMCWS Joysankar Bhattacharjee said, “Walking Lens is more than a photography exhibition—it is a movement that connects art with humanity. Every photograph purchased through our e-auction directly supports cancer patients and encourages artists to become ambassadors of social change. We invite everyone to own a photograph, preserve a story and become a part of this noble cause.”
The exhibition also featured cultural performances, including a special Rabindra Sangeet presentation by renowned artiste Purni Basu, adding a meaningful cultural dimension to the event.
Organized in memory of late photojournalist Madhurupa, Walking Lens has now been established as the annual flagship initiative of MMCWS, promoting photography as a medium for social change while supporting cancer care.
MMCWS invites everyone to participate in the ongoing e-auction by visiting mmcws.org and help bring hope to cancer patients through the power of art.
