Agartala, July 2: Marking World Sports Journalists Day, the Tripura Sports Journalists Club (TSJC) organized a special outreach programme on Wednesday to encourage young women footballers at Jampuijala.
As part of the initiative, club representatives visited the Jampuijala Play Centre and distributed jerseys and other sports items to emerging female footballers, motivating them to continue pursuing the sport with dedication and confidence.
The event was attended by Sachin Koloi, President of the Jampuijala Play Centre, and coach Subodh Debbarma, along with local sports enthusiasts.
Representing the Tripura Sports Journalists Club were President Sarayu Chakraborty, Vice-President Suprabhat Debnath, Secretary Anirban Deb, and Treasurer Utpal Bhattacharjee.
The initiative aimed to celebrate World Sports Journalists Day while reinforcing the club’s commitment to supporting grassroots sports and encouraging the next generation of women athletes in Tripura.
