Udaipur: Apr 28. In a public display of commitment to fulfill the duty of being a Member of District Council (MDC), the newly sworn-in Tipra Motha Party MDC David Murasing has repaired a long-neglected rural school using his own money, prioritising education immediately after taking oath.
Jagat Das Bairagi Para JB School under the 22-Kathalia-Mirza-Rajapur constituency had remained in a dilapidated condition for nearly two years. A broken tin roof caused rainwater to leak into classrooms, disrupting studies during monsoon and making it difficult for students to attend classes in extreme weather.
Despite repeated appeals, locals alleged no action was taken earlier. Acting promptly, Murasing visited the school and began repair work without waiting for official funds.
He stated that children’s education cannot be put on hold due to delays and affirmed his commitment to improving school infrastructure across the area.
Teachers, students, and parents have welcomed the move, calling it a timely and much-needed intervention.
