Agartala, Apr 26. The ICFAI University Tripura on Sunday unveiled its prospectus for the 2026–27 academic session, announcing a total of 59 professional programmes across a wide range of disciplines. The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Agartala Press Club.
Addressing the media, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Biplab Halder said the university plans to introduce nine new programmes aimed at expanding academic opportunities. These include five undergraduate courses—B.Sc. Nursing, Bachelor of Optometry, B.Sc. Clinical Psychology (Hons.), B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and B.Pharm. Additionally, one postgraduate programme (Master of Dialysis Therapy Technology), one diploma course (D.Pharm), and two certificate programmes in French and Hindustani Classical Music will be launched.
Highlighting the institution’s legacy, Halder noted that the university has completed 22 years since its establishment in 2004 and continues to maintain strong placement records through national and multinational recruiters.
Officials also shared that 3,496 students received scholarships worth over Rs 12.74 crore during the 2024–25 and 2025–26 academic years under various government schemes and the university’s merit scholarship programme.
The university is currently undertaking the second phase of campus expansion to accommodate 10,000 additional students, featuring modern classrooms, advanced labs, and high-speed digital infrastructure. The campus has also been recognised as a True 5G-enabled facility.
Collaborations with global tech leaders aim to boost students’ industry readiness through certifications and hands-on training.
