Dharmanagar: Apr 23. A 27-year-old man allegedly attempted suicide by jumping from a three-storey building in Maheshpur under Dharmanagar sub-division this morning, leaving him critically injured.
The incident took place around 9 am at Ward No. 5 of Sarala Gram Panchayat. The youth, identified as Ajay Gaur, son of Narayan Gaur, sustained severe head injuries after the fall.
He was first taken to Brajendranagar Primary Health Centre (PHC), where doctors, citing his critical condition, referred him to Dharmanagar District Hospital for advanced treatment.
At the district hospital, doctors said he suffered serious head injuries along with fractures. A CT scan and further assessment are underway to determine whether he will be referred to a higher medical facility.
The reason behind the alleged suicide attempt remains unclear, with locals speculating about possible causes.
