Agartala, April 23: The Lions Club Agartala, under Lions Clubs International District 322G, successfully organized a special social service programme today at Industrial Growth Centre Road in Khayerpur Banikya Chowmuhani as part of the “Lions Club International Environment Service Week.”

As part of the initiative, around 150 saplings were planted, along with a cleanliness drive at a local cowshed and distribution of feed to cattle. The programme emphasized environmental conservation, maintaining a healthy ecosystem, and promoting awareness on animal welfare.
The event was attended by club president Jishu Saha, secretary Kishore Majumdar, treasurer Kallol Dutta, along with other members and local volunteers, all of whom actively contributed to the success of the programme.
The Lions Club Agartala stated that similar environment-friendly and welfare-oriented initiatives will continue in the future, with plans for larger-scale plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns, animal welfare programmes, and other social development projects.
