Tripura, 31 Dec 2025: At the 60th edition of the Mukhyamantri Samipeshu programme held today, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha personally interacted with people from different parts of the state and assured them of necessary assistance. A majority of the applicants sought help for medical treatment and health-related issues.
During the programme, Dilip Das of Ichharbil, Teliamura, requested financial support for the treatment of his ailing son. After reviewing the medical documents, the Chief Minister assured all necessary steps for his advanced treatment. Helen Chong Thanpuri of Purba Malbasa, Amarpur, sought help for the treatment of her eight-year-old daughter suffering from a critical illness. The Chief Minister immediately assured medical assistance along with necessary allowance support.
Deepak Barua from Dhumachhara in Dhalai district also appealed for treatment support for his daughter, following which the Chief Minister directed officials to take prompt action. Similar appeals were made by Sahid Mia of Purathal Rajnagar (Sipahijala) for his daughter’s treatment; Anjan Sen of Dumburnagar, Biswajit Karmakar of Dhaleswar, and Ramgopal Shil of Hapania for their spouses’ treatment; and Keshab Deb of Chandinamura and Seema Malakar of Brahmakunda for their sons’ medical care.
In response, the Chief Minister spoke to the Medical Superintendent of GB Hospital and instructed that all necessary treatment and free medicines be provided to the patients. Nakul Rishidas of Aralia Rishipara, the sole earning member of his family, informed that he had lost a leg in an accident and was facing severe financial hardship. The Chief Minister assured assistance for mobility aids and directed the Social Welfare and Social Education Department to extend support for his son’s education.
Cancer patient Biplab Chakraborty from Melaghar also approached the programme seeking treatment support, to which the Chief Minister assured all necessary assistance.
Senior officials present at the programme included the Chief Minister’s Secretary Dr. P. K. Chakraborty, Health and Family Welfare Secretary Kiran Gitte, Social Welfare and Social Education Secretary Tapas Roy, Director of Health Services Dr. Debashree Debbarma, GB Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Bidhan Goswami, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee Regional Cancer Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Shirmoni Debbarma, among others.
