Agartala, December 24: A district-level Sushasan (Good Governance) awareness workshop was organized on Tuesday at the conference hall of the West Tripura District Magistrate and Collectorate as part of the observance of Sushasan Week and Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore–2025.
The workshop was inaugurated by IAS officer Swapna Saha, who attended the programme as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, she stated that good governance paves the way for public welfare and development, while ensuring the rights and participation of people at all levels of society. She emphasized that through such initiatives, the district administration is working to improve the quality of life of citizens and is playing a proactive role in taking government services directly to the doorsteps of the people.
The welcome address was delivered by the Additional District Magistrate of West Tripura. During the programme, several beneficiaries were provided with Income Certificates, PRC, Marriage Certificates, and Voter ID-related services.
Under the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM), cheques worth ₹6 lakh were distributed to two self-help groups at ₹3 lakh each. Additionally, ₹3 lakh was disbursed under the Swabalamban project and ₹18 lakh under the PMEGP scheme. Benefits were also provided to three individuals under the Janajati Kalyan project and the Swalp Sanchay project.
Senior Deputy Magistrate Debash Debbarma, beneficiaries, and representatives from various departments were present at the workshop.
