Agartala, 20 Dec 2025: With the approval of the West Tripura Zilla Parishad, a meeting of the Standing Committee on Finance of the West Tripura Zilla Parishad was held recently. The meeting was presided over by the Vice-Chairperson of the Zilla Parishad, Bishwajit Shil. Members of the committee, along with officials from various departments, were present at the meeting.
During the meeting, it was informed by the Zilla Parishad that very soon solar machines would be provided to a total of 273 beneficiaries, selecting three beneficiaries each from 91 Gram Panchayats across the district.
The West District Administrative Officer informed the meeting that in the current financial year, a target of ₹720 crore had been set for revenue collection from three subdivisions of West Tripura district under various heads. So far, an amount of ₹484.61 crore has already been collected.
Among the subdivisions, Jirania subdivision had a target of ₹48 crore, against which ₹33.35 crore has been collected. From Sadar subdivision, against a target of ₹642 crore, ₹403.19 crore has been collected, while Mohanpur subdivision collected ₹22.87 crore against a target of ₹30 crore.
A representative from the Statistics Department informed the meeting that work on the fourth sub-round of the 8th National Sample Survey is currently underway and will continue until December 31. Under this survey, data related to health and tourism sectors are being collected.
During the meeting, Vice-Chairperson Bishwajit Shil advised representatives of the Statistics Department to conduct surveys in Gram Panchayat areas in coordination with Gram Pradhans, Panchayat Samiti Chairpersons, and representatives of the Zilla Parishad to ensure smooth implementation of the survey work.
