Tripura, 18 Dec 2025: In the presence of Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, the Matabari Tourism Circuit project was presented to the Union Minister of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) during a virtual programme on Tuesday. A total of 21 projects worth ₹451 crore received approval during the meeting.
Sharing the update on social media, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that out of the approved projects, ₹267.5 crore will be financed through a combination of State Government funds, the Ministry of Tourism, and the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that these projects would significantly strengthen Tripura’s tourism infrastructure and open new avenues for tourism growth across the state.
He further stated that the implementation of the Matabari Tourism Circuit project would promote religious and cultural tourism while also contributing to local economic development, generating employment opportunities, and supporting the state’s overall growth.
The programme also highlighted that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tripura is moving steadily on the path of transformative development.
