Agartala, 15 Dec 2025: The Madhurupa Memorial Cancer Welfare Society organized the RAQT Blood Donation Camp on Sunday, 14 December 2025, at the Indian Red Cross Society Bhawan, Agartala, focusing on banking blood for cancer patients as part of its social responsibility initiative.
The camp was graced by the presence of Shri Chandan Debnath, General Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Tripura State Branch, who attended the programme as the Chief Guest. The occasion was also honoured by the presence of Mihir Bhattacharjee, Founding Father, MMCWS; Tanusree Das, President, MMCWS; Joysankar Bhattacharjee, Secretary, MMCWS; and Subhadip Bhattacharya, Managing Director, MMCWS. Several other distinguished guests, representatives of social organizations, volunteers, and members of the Indian Red Cross Society were also present, extending their support to the noble initiative.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from voluntary blood donors across different age groups, reflecting strong community commitment towards saving lives. Medical teams ensured that the donation process was conducted in a safe, hygienic, and well-organized manner, in accordance with all prescribed health protocols.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Shri Chandan Debnath appreciated the efforts of the Madhurupa Memorial Cancer Welfare Society in organizing the camp and emphasized the importance of regular blood donation to meet the ongoing needs of patients, especially those undergoing critical treatments. He also encouraged citizens to actively participate in such humanitarian initiatives.
Joysankar Bhattacharjee, Secretary, Madhurupa Memorial Cancer Welfare Society (MMCWS), expressed the vote of thanksgiving and conveyed heartfelt gratitude to all the voluntary blood donors, whose selfless contribution made the RAQT Blood Donation Camp a success. He also thanked the Indian Red Cross Society, medical professionals, volunteers, and all supporting partners for their cooperation and support. The Society reaffirmed its commitment to continue working towards cancer care awareness, patient support, and community welfare through similar initiatives in the future.
