Dharmanagar, 15 Dec 2025: A tragic incident has shaken Dharmanagar after a young delivery executive, Prasenjit Sarkar, allegedly died by suicide following an assault linked to his workplace. The incident has sparked widespread public outrage and demands for justice across social media.
According to allegations, Prasenjit Sarkar was physically assaulted by a woman associated with a delivery office, which reportedly left him deeply distressed. Family members claim that the mental trauma resulting from the assault drove him to take the extreme step.
The incident has triggered strong reactions online, with social media user Niptu Das leading a campaign under the hashtag #JusticeForPrasenjitSarkar. In a strongly worded appeal, he urged all delivery workers across the state to completely halt delivery services until justice is delivered, warning that otherwise the matter could be suppressed.
“Violence against delivery boys is becoming increasingly common simply because they are men. In the blink of an eye, a mother has lost her son,” the post stated, while also urging the state government to take strict action against the guilty.
On December 13, Prasenjit Sarkar’s family formally approached the administration, demanding strict punishment for those responsible for his death. While public protests continue on social media, serious questions are being raised over the lack of visible administrative action so far.
The incident has led to growing concern among delivery workers and the general public, with many questioning whether Prasenjit Sarkar and his family will receive justice, or whether the case will be ignored.
