Agartala, 10 Dec 2025: The main event of Tripura Tourism’s ongoing Unity Promo Fest is set to be a star-studded affair, with renowned playback singer Jubin Nautiyal headlining the programme. Adding further significance to the occasion, former BCCI president and brand ambassador of Tripura Tourism, Sourav Ganguly, is also scheduled to attend the event.
This was announced during a press conference organised by Tripura Tourism on Wednesday. Addressing the media, Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury confirmed that Sourav Ganguly will participate in this year’s flagship promotional event aimed at boosting the state’s tourism profile.
The Minister also informed that a business-to-business (B2B) meet will be held on Thursday, bringing together tour operators from 27 Indian states along with international stakeholders from Thailand, Bhutan and Malaysia. The interaction is expected to strengthen tourism partnerships and expand Tripura’s outreach in both domestic and overseas markets.
Elaborating on the scale of the Unity Promo Fest, Chowdhury said the month-long tourism campaign was inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha at Dumboor. A series of cultural and musical events followed at key destinations across the state. These included programmes at Narikel Kunja, Dumboor, a first-ever live performance by singer Papon at Udaipur Matabari, and a concert by Bollywood singer Palak Muchhal at Belonia.
For the first time, the promotional festival was also organised at Jampui Hills, highlighting Tripura’s hill tourism potential, along with another event at Neer Mahal in Sepahijala district, the Minister added.
According to official sources, due to irregular flight operations, Jubin Nautiyal is scheduled to arrive in Agartala on December 11. Over 4,000 entry passes for his live concert have already been distributed, reflecting strong public interest.
Security arrangements for the event were also discussed during the briefing by the Inspector General of Law and Order. The press conference, held at the Geetanjali Tourism Guest House, was attended by Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, IG (Law & Order), West Tripura Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak, Tourism Secretary U.K. Chakma, Director of Tourism Prashant Badal Negi, and Traffic SP Kanta Jangir.
