Agartala, December 10, 2025: Authorities at Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport, Agartala, on Tuesday held a press conference to explain the recent disruption in Indigo Airlines’ flight operations and the steps taken to ensure passenger safety and convenience during the period.
Addressing the media, Shri Krishan Mohan Nehra, Airport Director, MBB Airport, said the disruption in Indigo’s services began on November 27. Between November 29 and December 9, a total of 39 Indigo flights were cancelled, resulting in inconvenience to a large number of passengers.

Additional seating arrangements were made both inside and outside the terminal building, while drinking water facilities were strengthened. Enhanced sanitation and cleanliness measures were also implemented to ensure passenger comfort during extended waiting hours. Special arrangements were made to ensure the availability of food and essential supplies, and strict monitoring was carried out to prevent overcharging.
The Airport Director informed that close coordination was maintained with Indigo Airlines to address passenger grievances. Baggage delivery for all affected passengers was completed, and refunds for the cancelled flights were processed up to December 9, 2025.
Commenting on flight punctuality, Shri Nehra acknowledged that Indigo’s on-time performance (OTP) was affected during the disruption period. However, he stated that the airline has been maintaining 100 per cent OTP at MBB Airport since December 7.
