Agartala, Dec 05: The 36th Tripura Industry and Commerce Fair will commence on January 29, 2026, at the Hapania International Fairground. The 15-day fair will continue until February 12, 2026 and will remain open to visitors daily from 2 PM to 9 PM.
The decision was taken during the first preparatory meeting for the fair, held today at Committee Room No. 3 of the State Secretariat, under the chairmanship of Santana Chakma, Minister for Industry & Commerce. Addressing the meeting, Minister Chakma sought everyone’s cooperation to make this year’s edition successful. She stressed the need to bring new ideas to the fair and ensure a more vibrant and attractive experience for visitors, calling for a responsible and proactive role from all stakeholders.

During the meeting, Subhash Chandra Das, Additional Director of the Industry & Commerce Department, briefed attendees on the department’s preliminary preparations and measures taken for the fair. He informed that, as in previous years, various central and state government agencies will set up stalls. The fair will also feature a food court and a themed pavilion.
A series of seminars on various topics will be organised during the event. Additionally, cultural programmes will be conducted under the supervision of the Department of Information & Cultural Affairs.
The meeting was attended by Nabadal Banik, Chairman of Tripura Industrial Development Corporation, Biswajit Seal, Acting Sabhadhipati of West Tripura Zilla Parishad, Dr. Vishal Kumar, District Magistrate & Collector of West Tripura, along with senior officials from various departments.
To ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the fair, a Steering Committee, Executive Committee, and several sub-committees have been formed.
