Agartala, 3 Dec, 2025: In a major step toward enhancing seed quality and improving agricultural productivity in Tripura, Tripura Rajya Samabay Marketing Federation (Tripura Markfed) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Seeds Cooperative Society Ltd. (BISCOMAUN) – 28 November 2025.
The primary objectives of this collaboration include ensuring the supply of high-quality, scientifically processed seeds, increasing farmers’ yield, and expanding the availability of improved crop varieties across the state.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Tripura Markfed Chairman Aditya Deb, members of the Board of Directors, and senior representatives of BISCOMAUN. Representing BISCOMAUN, Dr. Ameer Singh signed the agreement, while Managing Director Yogesh Kumar signed on behalf of Tripura Markfed.
Speaking at the event, Chairman Aditya Deb said the partnership will help farmers gain access to certified and high-standard seeds, enabling them to achieve better crop output and improve their livelihoods. He added that the initiative will contribute to transforming the seed sector and strengthening agricultural development in Tripura.
Dr. Ameer Singh highlighted that BISCOMAUN is committed to supplying high-quality, scientifically processed seeds and will support Tripura Markfed in ensuring sustainable agricultural growth. He emphasized that this collaboration will greatly benefit farmers across the state.
