Tripura, September 22: In order to ensure the peaceful and orderly celebration of Durga Puja, the Teliamura Sub-Division Administration has taken all necessary measures. This was informed by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Apurba Krishna Chakraborty at a press conference held today at the Teliamura SDM office.
The SDM highlighted several government directives to be strictly followed during the festivities. These include:
Idols must not exceed 20 feet in height, and superstructures must not exceed 40 feet. Prior permission from the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) must be obtained 72 hours in advance for the use of microphones and public address systems in public places. Loudspeakers or sound systems cannot be used between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM. No sound systems are allowed within 100 meters of hospitals, educational institutions, or courts. Firecrackers cannot be used between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Sound levels must be restricted to 75 decibels, and firecrackers producing sound above 90 decibels are strictly prohibited.
The press conference was also attended by Additional SDM Rupam Das, SDPO G. Kishan, and Teliamura Police Station Officer-in-Charge Jayanta Kumar Dey, among others.
