Tripura, September 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the redeveloped Mata Tripurasundari Temple Complex at Udaipur, Gomati district. Following the inauguration, the Prime Minister offered prayers at the temple, seeking blessings for the welfare of the nation. He also visited the exhibition showcasing the history and cultural significance of the Tripurasundari Temple.
The redevelopment of the temple complex has been carried out under the Central Government’s PRASAD (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive) scheme, giving the historic temple a modern and enriched form.





The inauguration ceremony was attended by Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, MP Biplab Kumar Deb, MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, and several members of the state cabinet.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi arrived at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport, Agartala, by a special aircraft. He was received by Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and MLA Deepak Majumder, Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, and Director General of Police Anurag. From Agartala, the Prime Minister proceeded to Palatana by helicopter, where he was welcomed by the Governor and the Chief Minister.
On his way from Palatana helipad to Mata Tripurasundari Temple, thousands of people lined up on both sides of the road to greet the Prime Minister. Various cultural programs were also organized to mark his arrival and celebrate the historic occasion.
