Tripura, 20 Sep 2025: To maintain peace and security in public life, restrictions have been imposed on the movement of people within 500 meters of the India-Bangladesh border in Khowai district.
These restrictions will remain in force from September 21, 2025, to November 19, 2025, effective daily from 8 PM to 5 AM. The order has been issued by Khowai District Magistrate Rajat Panth under Section 163 of the BNS, 2023.
However, exemptions will apply to members of the armed and paramilitary forces, state police personnel, individuals with valid permits issued by the District Superintendent of Police or Sub-Divisional Magistrate, government employees on emergency duty, and individuals requiring urgent medical care.
Those violating the order will face punitive action under Section 163 of the BNS, 2023. The information was shared by the Khowai District Magistrate’s office.
