Tripura, 7 sep 2025: GRP police at Agartala Railway Station detained two women and recovered a large quantity of cannabis from their possession. The women have been identified as Sushma Kumari and Soma Kumari, both residents of Nalanda district in Bihar.
They were travelling with their children when the police conducted a search and found a handbag and a backpack containing a total of 8.840 kg of cannabis. The estimated market value of the seized contraband is around ₹1.7 lakh.
A case has been registered under the NDPS Act at the Agartala GRP police station in connection with the incident.
