Tripura, 25 April 2025: CM Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha today held a detailed review meeting via video conference with the District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police of eight districts, along with senior officials from various departments. The meeting, held at the State Secretariat, focused on the overall developmental activities, law and order situation, recent issues, healthcare services, drinking water supply, education, roads, irrigation, and public grievances. The Chief Minister instructed all district SPs to regularly submit reports to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat regarding any presence of Pakistani nationals within the state.
He also advised DMs to maintain strict vigilance and promptly bring such matters to the attention of the administration. Highlighting the need for preparedness ahead of the upcoming storm and monsoon season, the Chief Minister emphasized preventive measures to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
He also directed relevant departments to take immediate action in case of any deficiencies and instructed the heads of departments to repair or replace damaged signboards of various government projects. CM Saha stressed the importance of raising public awareness to prevent cyber crimes and recommended regular press briefings to inform citizens about emerging trends in cyber threats.
During the meeting, the DMs and SPs presented detailed updates on the situation in their respective districts and outlined the steps taken to address local issues. Among the senior officials present were Principal Chief Conservator of Forests R.K. Shyamal, Law Secretary Sanjoy Bhattacharjee, Special Secretary of Planning (Statistics) Abhishek Chandra, Revenue Secretary Brijesh Pandey, Health Secretary Kiran Gitte, Urban Development Secretary Abhishek Singh, CM’s Secretary Apurba Roy, Transport Secretary C.K. Jamatia, Social Welfare Secretary Tapas Roy, Tourism Secretary U.K. Chakma, Labour Secretary Tarunkanti Debnath, I&CA Special Secretary Debapriya Bardhan, Education Special Secretary Ravel Hemendra Kumar, and Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Samit Roy Choudhury, among others.
