Tripura 30 Jan, 2025: On the occasion of Martyrs’ Day, Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by offering floral wreaths at his statue near Circuit House and at the Gandhi Memorial in Gandhighat. Following the Governor, Minister of Industries and Commerce Santana Chakma also paid floral tributes to the Father of the Nation.
Speaking to the media, the Governor emphasized that Mahatma Gandhi’s non-violent movement played a crucial role in India’s freedom struggle. He highlighted how Gandhi demonstrated to the world that rights can be achieved through non-violent means. The Governor urged everyone to follow Gandhi’s ideals.
The tribute ceremony was attended by West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, Sadar Sub-Divisional Magistrate Maniklal Das, and other senior officials. This information was officially shared by Raj Bhavan.
