New Delhi, January 26: Tripura secured the second prize in the tableau display at the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi on January 26. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha extended his congratulations and best wishes to everyone involved in the state’s tableau presentation. He described this achievement as remarkable and also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Ministry of Defence announced the results of the competitive tableau display for Republic Day 2025 today. Based on the judges’ evaluation, Tripura secured the second position among various states and Union Territories. Uttar Pradesh claimed the first position, while Andhra Pradesh secured the third spot. The responsibility for Tripura’s tableau presentation at the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi was undertaken by the state’s Department of Information and Cultural Affairs.
Tripura’s tableau showcased the spiritual essence of ancient Tripura. It depicted the significance of the Kharchi Puja and the worship of the 14 deities, a tradition carried forward since the royal era. The tableau was designed as a blend of tradition and modernity. Tomorrow, the awards will be presented to representatives of the winning states in New Delhi.
