Tripura 24 Jan, 2025: The 76th Republic Day of India will be celebrated across Tripura on January 26 with various programs and activities. The main event will be held at the Assam Rifles Ground in Agartala, where the Governor of Tripura, Indrasena Reddy Nallu, will hoist the National Flag at 9 AM and take the salute at the parade. The Governor will also distribute awards and medals during the event, followed by a colorful cultural program.
In Agartala, the day’s celebrations will begin with the hoisting of the National Flag at all government and private buildings in the morning. At 6:30 AM, Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath will pay tribute to the Father of the Nation by laying a wreath at the Gandhi Ghat memorial. At 7 AM, he will pay homage to martyrs by laying a wreath at the Albert Ekka Park memorial, and at 7:30 AM, he will hoist the National Flag on the Secretariat premises.
As part of the Republic Day celebrations, at 10:30 AM, fruits and sweets will be distributed among patients in GB and IGM hospitals, as well as inmates of various institutions, including the Badharghat Blind School, the Central Correctional Home in Bishalgarh, and hospitals of the Police, BSF, and CRPF. Residents of Nirmala Shishu Bhavan and the Blind School in Narsingarh will also receive distributions.
At 12:30 PM, an event to honor ex-servicemen will be held at Pragya Bhavan, followed by a reception at Raj Bhavan at 4 PM. At 5:30 PM, the Horticulture Exhibition Award Ceremony will be held at Rabindra Kanan, and at 6 PM, the State-Level Tribal Folk Dance Award Ceremony will take place at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan. The day will conclude with a community dinner for tribal leaders at 8:30 PM at the Maharani Tulsibati Girls’ School.
As a part of the Republic Day activities, a cross-country race will be held tomorrow at 7 AM, starting from the Umakanta Academy grounds. At 11 AM, a Tribal Folk Dance Competition will be organized at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan, followed by a cultural program by school students at 3 PM at the same venue.
