Tripura 20 Jan, 2025: To maintain peace and security in public life, restrictions have been imposed on the movement of people within 500 meters of the India-Bangladesh border in Khowai Subdivision, Khowai District. This order will remain in effect from January 24, 2025, to March 24, 2025. The restrictions will be enforced daily from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following day.
The District Magistrate of Khowai, Chandni Chandran, issued this order under Section 163 of BNS 2023. However, the restrictions will not apply to members of the armed forces, paramilitary forces, or state police engaged in law enforcement duties. Additionally, individuals with valid permits from the District Superintendent of Police or Sub-Divisional Magistrate, government officials on emergency duty, and persons requiring immediate medical attention are exempt from this order.
Violators of the order will face punitive action under Section 163 of BNS 2023, as stated by the office of the District Magistrate.
