TTAADC Felicitates Miss Puspita Murasing with ₹1 Lakh for Winning GMI Miss India 2024
Khumulwng 17 Jan, 2025: The Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) proudly felicitated Miss Puspita Murasing, who was recently crowned GMI Miss India 2024. Her achievement has brought immense pride to Tripura, showcasing the talent and potential of the Tiprasa people on the national stage.
During the felicitation ceremony, Purna Chandra Jamatia, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of TTAADC, and Executive Member (EM) Suhel Debbarma jointly handed over a cheque of ₹1 lakh to Miss Puspita Murasing as a token of appreciation for her remarkable accomplishment. CEM Purna Chandra Jamatia and EM Suhel Debbarma congratulated her and extended his best wishes as she prepares to represent India at the prestigious Cultural International 2025 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Miss Puspita Murasing is the first woman from the Murasing tribe in Tripura to win this prestigious title, making her achievement a historic moment for the state and an inspiration for young women in the region.
About Puspita Murasing
Puspita Murasing, from Tripura, belongs to the Tripuri community, one of India’s 21 recognized scheduled tribes. A graduate of Martin Luther Christian University in Shillong – Meghalaya, she began her modeling career in 16 and has since achieved significant milestones.
Key achievements include:
• GMI Miss India 2024 Title: Representing the northeastern region, she emerged victorious at the Global Model India competition.
• State Finalist, Miss India Organization 2024: Showcased her talent on a national platform.
• Mega Miss Tripura 2023 Winner: A major milestone in her career.
• Judge for Apurba Sundar and Sundari: Played a key role in the Mr., Miss, and Junior Tripura Grand Finale 2023 on October 17, 2023.
